WHO HAS THE ANSWERS?
As much as I would love to be able to tell you different, the painful truth is that we will never have all the answers, make all the right decisions all the time, or handle every task on our own.
Recognizing this reality is not a sign of weakness but a hallmark of strength and wisdom. Asking for support, seeking advice from and collaborating with others are powerful tools that can propel a business forward. Embrace the idea that leveraging the knowledge, skills, and perspectives of others can lead to innovative solutions, improved decision-making, and sustainable (REPEATABLE) growth.
Rather than simply reacting to challenges and circumstances, adopt a proactive approach to shape the business’s future. By anticipating potential issues and seizing opportunities before they arise, you (and your team) can take control and steer your business toward a better and more successful trajectory. Focus on making deliberate, forward-thinking decisions that foster growth, innovation, and continuous improvement. How do you do this? Get the advise of others who have been where you are, and have gone where your going.
Yes, it is essential to continuously evaluate and refine a business strategy in order to be responsive in a constantly evolving business environment. Periodic review of business goals, market trends, and overall performance should be conducted to identify areas for improvement or adjustment. By developing and adapting strategies to align with shifting customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry advancements, we can better ensure long-term success and resilience in an ever-changing landscape.
The trusted advice of a mentor, a coach or business consultant is paramount in navigating this path. The confidence you gain in knowing that they have been down this path before and recognize both the obvious challenges and the invisible hazards of business and leadership is truly game changing.
As we enter the final weeks of 2025 ask yourself a few important questions, most importantly, answer them with honesty.
What is the current state of my business? Growth, shake out, decline ?
What’s my plan for the final 2.5 months? Is my team aware and on board?
How many of my goals did I accomplish this year? Celebrate the wins, but don’t make excuses for the ones you missed.
What will I do in 2026 to prepare for 2027 and beyond ?
